Vocabulary Week 2:

Large Cap- Largest/biggest market capitalization.
Sentence- Friday Apple is going to be the Large Cap in the stock market.
Dividend- Money paid to a number of people by a company.
Sentence- Apple gave me a dividend for helping them sell out the iPhone 4.
Growth domestic product- Finished product
Sentence- My car was a growth domestic product after it got out of the body shop.
Earning- Amount of profit that a company produces.
Sentence- The school gave the city of Powell 1% of their earnings to helping get more equipment

Journal for Week 2:

I bought BKE because they are a good seller. I bought this stock at almost $40.00 a share. They have the best clothes for fashion. I got this stock believing it will go up at least 15% to about %65.00 since there really isn’t another clothing company that compares to it. American eagle and hollister are it’s competitors.

Another stock i bought was APPL which is Apple. This stock i got for $383.01 a share. I only bought 50 shares. I got this stock assuming that it will go up according to the new phones and ipads it has coming out. Im hoping it will go up quite a bit; at least 25%. It has competitors and they are GOOG and HPQ.

Journal for Week 1:

I bought Nike at $90.42 a share. I bought it because its the only main shoe company i like that is reliable. I think it will go up becuase of the fact that sports are here and there are more to come and Nike is the best athletic shoe to buy. It will possibly increase from 90 to 100 with a 10 percentage increase.

Week 1 Vocabulary

1. Growth Stock: Shares in a company whose earning are expected to grow above avergae.
     Sentence: I bought growth stock in visa because credit cards are going to be used continously with the debit card percentage arte going up.
2. Bonds: Used to finance a variety of projects and activities.
     Sentence: The bank gave Pepsi a bond so they could get new delivering trucks.
3. Risk: Different than expected losing some or all of original investment.
     Sentence: We took a risk on buying a business not knowing if we were able to afford it.
4. Dividends: Money paid to a number of people (usually shareholders) by a company.
     Sentence: For every disk i sell the computer company gave me a dividend.

i wear like american eagle and buckle jeans and silver jeans and shirts from all sorts of places. My favorite place to eat is olive garden because i love italian food. We have a variety of foods in my house because we like random meals. I use colgate tooth paste and i drive a silver grand am. I have an Htc Aria and a toshiba lap top and do not own a game system.

I think we are losing becuase of the fact that even though we have gained a lot of things and power we are taking it to its highest advantage. We are acting like we have everything and we are waisting our money. Our economy seems to be going down the drain becuase we are not quite sure what to do.
